Our story

Hi, I'm Brittany — the mom who built SpeakAnyWay.

I'm a mom to two boys on the autism spectrum, and a software engineer by trade. When we needed AAC, I did what every parent does: I started looking. What I found was expensive, complicated, and usually locked to one device — the kind of thing that needs a grant, a training session, and a spare iPad before anyone says a word.

None of it fit our actual life. So I built the thing I wished existed: boards you can make in a few minutes on the device already in your hand, and share with everyone who helps — the SLP, the teacher, the grandparent, the sitter who's never done this before.

That's still the whole idea — the board bends to fit the communicator, not the other way around.

SpeakAnyWay stays free where it can and cheap where it can't. No one should have to pay a premium just to be understood, and I'd rather more kids get to communicate than charge for the privilege.

I'm also still the person reading the support email. If something's broken, confusing, or missing, tell me — that's genuinely how this gets better.
